The plenary session of the municipal corporation, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, met Thursday in a regular session that started with two institutional statements supported by all the municipal groups.

The first one, in support of the Navantia shipyard in Cartagena and its construction project for the S-80, and the second, to urge the regional government to study a development plan for Ruta 8 of Eurovelo or Ruta del del Mediterranean along the coast of the Mar Menor, so that it does not discriminate against Cartagena and the rest of the municipalities of the region, in coordination with all the riverside councils, neighbors and groups of the bike.

Eurovelo 8 is the Alicante-Murcia route along the coast, starting from Alicante to Elche, Guardamar del Segura, crosses the lagoons of La Mata and Torrevieja and connects with the service road of the Cartagena channel at the height of San Miguel de las Salinas .

After leaving the channel and recala again on the coast, in the salt flats of San Pedro del Pinatar.

Follow the Mar Menor to Los Nietos and go to Cartagena.

From Cartagena it continues to the Puerto de Mazarrón and through the protected and almost virgin area of ​​the Sierra de las Moreras - Calnegre - Cabo Cope arrives to Águilas.

After the institutional declarations, the turn of motions presented by the municipal groups was opened, highlighting those that have been approved unanimously.

This is the case of the motion of the popular group for the Declaration of Regional Tourist Interest for the Folklore Festival of La Palma;

another one of the PP so that the Department of Sports and the different clubs that are in the Municipal Track of Athletics, agree a plan of maintenance and conservation of the same, that the City council will have to execute and to fulfill for an improvement of this infrastructure;

and also from the popular group, that the Plenary urges the Government to agree with the municipality of San Javier, the creation of a contest of ideas, through the Consortium of La Manga, to make a poster that welcomes tourists and visitors that they arrive at La Manga and that it becomes a tourist attraction that helps to reinforce the brand and its promotion.

With regard to the Track of Athletics, the councilor of Sports, Obdulia Gómez, has announced that a work table has been constituted in which already this subject is approached, as well as that the reforms will cost approximately 100,000 euros and will begin this summer.

Unanimously, MC Cartagena's motions on the implementation of a commercial strategic plan for San Fernando Street, including its remodeling, have also been approved;

as well as the adhesion of the municipality to the Active Family program of the Ministry of Health during the next academic year, for the development of the comprehensive plan for overweight and obesity in children.

The civic group Ciudadanos has unanimously approved its motion to promote the recovery of the Cartagena Book Fair, while Cartagena Yes Can It has also had the support of all groups for their initiative to promote a project of rehabilitation and implementation in value of the old Tallante School Farm.

OTHER APPROVED MOTIONS

-Moción of the popular group so that the city of Cartagena requires the calculation of their emissions to the companies organizing festivals and events in our city, making a compensation of emissions through planting or reforestation: approved with votes in favor of PP and Citizens, against the PSOE and the abstention of CTSSP and MC.

-Moción of the popular group, on the National Water Pact, so that the Plenary of the City of Cartagena urges the Government Council of the Murcia region and this in turn to the Government of Spain to:

1º.- That urgently and priority return to work to close a National Water Pact, which the People's Party left practically finished.

An agreement that must provide definitive solutions, especially for those regions whose hydrographic basins do not have sufficient water resources.

2º.- That the National Water Pact incorporates the proposals and demands contained in the Regional Water Pact signed between Partido Popular, PSOE and Ciudadanos.

Approved with the votes in favor of PP, PSOE, MC and Ciudadanos and in the votes against CTSSP.

-Moción of the popular group so that, on the occasion of the XXV anniversary of La Mar de Músicas, is contemplated an increase of at least 150,000 euros in the budget of next year 2019, that the poster of the Sea of ​​Music of the XXV anniversary be prepared to be presented at FITUR, and that the Plenary Session of the City Council of Cartagena, urge the CARM to present the FITUR presentation of the Brand Festivals of the Region with the poster of the XXV anniversary of La Mar de Músicas and collaborate in its promotion throughout the year.

Approved with the votes in favor of PP, PSOE, Citizens and the abstentions of CTSSP and MC.

-Movement of the popular group on improvement works in the CEIP Luis Vives of El Albujón: approved with the votes in favor of PP, Citizens, MC and CTSSP and abstention PSOE.

-Movement of the socialist group to urge the regional government to the Development Regulation of Law 10/2016 of June 7, reform of the Housing Law of the Region of Murcia and the Law of 4/1996 of June 14, Statute of Consumers and Users of the Region of Murcia, as well as encourage and stimulate the construction of social housing and housing subsidies, while promoting the rental housing market.

Approved with the votes in favor of PSOE, CTSSP, MC and Ciudadanos and the abstention of the PP.

-Mation of the MC Cartagena group urging the municipal government to unblock the negotiation with the Ministry of Defense for the enhancement of the Battery of Fajardo: approved with the votes in favor of MC, PSOE, CTSSP and Citizens and the abstention of PP.

- MC Cartagena's motion urging the IMAS to inform the city council about information regarding existing dependency places in Cartagena and their benefits, and that the regional government increase its budgets in 2019 to increase the seats: approved with the votes in favor of PSOE, CTSSP, MC and Citizens, and against PP.

- MC Cartagena's decision to reject Ecological Transition Minister, Teresa Ribera, for the declarations regarding transfers: approved with votes in favor of MC, PP and Citizens, and against PSOE and CTSSP.

-Mitification of Citizens for the creation of the Sports Observatory in Cartagena, which in turn works on the modification and updating of the Regulation of Use and Operation of Sports Facilities in the city: approved with votes in favor of Ciudadanos, PSOE, MC and CTSSP, and the abstention of PP.

-Mitification of Citizens urging the local government to convene a monographic meeting of the Social Council of Cartagena to address the opportunities to turn the city into the Mediterranean capital of the blue economy and study the creation of a park or pole of companies linked to the economy of the sea ​​or blue economy in the Port of Cartagena, in collaboration with the Regional Administration and the Port Authority, in order to make Cartagena become a benchmark for technology-based companies linked to the sea: approved with votes in favor of Citizens, PP, PSOE and MC, and against CTSSP.

-Construction of CTSSP to urge the Port Authority to transfer, as soon as possible, to the municipal authority, the project of demolishing ruins, cleaning and eliminating the waste located in the old lands of Peñarroya, establishing for it the calendar of actions, with the contribution of the reports of the Ministries of Environment and Health, so that everything is done while preserving the health of workers and citizens: approved with votes in favor of CTSSP, PSOE, MC and Ciudadanos, and the abstention of PP.
