In this sense, the councilor responsible for Sports MC, Ricardo Segado, recalled that since the Cartagena training "we have always defended the impact and economic impact that the Speed ​​Circuit generates for the entire region, always having a permanent contact with them and showing data of visitors, hotel occupations, events and the economy that it generates ".

Promotion of cooperation measures between MC and the Circuit

The economic crisis, as well as the limited support and support that the Circuit has received, caused serious problems that jeopardized the continuity of its activities, putting in serious danger all its resources that they generate and contribute.

For this reason, Segado recalled, "in MC, within their responsibilities as Government, we understood as a priority the increase of institutional collaboration with the Circuit".

the request to the regional government to improve the access to the circuit or the transfer to this same entity of other urgent needs in terms of infrastructure, such as the resurfacing of the runway.

Also, Ricardo Segado has highlighted that the people in charge of the Circuit have been waiting for a meeting with the mayor for months, a meeting that never comes.

"The economic strategy of 'Caostejón' involves closing the blinds of Cartagena companies, ignoring their requests and not doing anything for them."
