The local government board, meeting today Friday in extraordinary session under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the project of new potable water supply network to the hamlets of Las Cobaticas and Las Jordanas, in Calblanque.
The amount of the project amounts to 283,737.57 (VAT included) and the term of execution of the work is three months since the stakeout is carried out.
This action is the result of an agreement with the General Directorate of Water of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, which is responsible for carrying out the works, while the City is responsible for developing the project, streamline the relevant licenses and conserve and exploit this infrastructure .
On the other hand, the governing board has also given its approval to a grant granted by the Autonomous Community to the City of Cartagena, through the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities, through the Murcia Institute of Social Action (IMAS) , to finance programs of Integral Social Attention for the Gypsy People within the framework of the Gypsy Development Plan 2018.
In this way, the Autonomous Community will allocate 48,000 euros in two phases, the first of 41,332 and the second of 6,668 euros, to finance actions whose purpose is to promote the promotion, prevention of exclusion, development, participation and social integration of the Gypsy town.
In short, projects of an integral nature, in terms of housing, health, associations, culture, etc.
This initiative has a maximum start date of October 1 and will run until May 31, 2019.
