More than fifteen students of the degree in Architecture of the UPCT defend their final projects since tomorrow.
The models and sheets with the designs of the buildings that they have devised will be exhibited this week at the School of Architecture and Building.
The court that examines the works, formed by the professors of the Polytechnic Antonio Cerezuela, Pau Natividad and Vicentina La Spina and the award-winning architect Fernando de Retes, on behalf of the Architects Association of Murcia, will visit the sample of models at 11: 30 hours.
Some projects have common sites, such as the Encomienda Palace in Caravaca, for which a handicraft center and a hostel have been designed, for example, and the island of Tabarca, where proposals such as the creation of a spa or diving center and underwater archeology.
Other projects are located in specific places, such as the idea of ​​a rehabilitation of the old prison in Murcia through horticulture and gastronomy, or the one that suggests the creation of a sports center next to the Manterola catwalk in the regional capital.
An administrative building in Santiago de Compostela and a psychiatric hospital in Cieza are also ideas developed by students of the UPCT, who have also opted to combat rural depopulation with proposals such as an alternative teaching center in Pozohondo (Albacete) and a multi-denominational center in an abandoned hamlet of the municipality of Caravaca.
