The Cartagena - Esetec - Arocam, youth team of the Club Ciclista Cartagena, with which the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena collaborates, has achieved for the second consecutive year the victory in the General Final Challenge of the Valencian Community Junior.
This competition has been composed of 6 stages played in the months of April, May and June in different parts of the neighboring Levantine region.
Marcos Hinojosa was leader of the general in the demanding third stage of Genovés, after a great collective work of the whole team, and both he and his teammates were very strong to defend the leadership until the end.
In fact, in the last stage, disputed in Pobla Llarga, the cyclists of Cartagena - Esetec - Arocam achieved a spectacular double with Óscar Sánchez and Álvaro Polo, in addition to maintaining the lead in the General Final of Marcos Hinojosa.
Sánchez accompanied Hinojosa on the final podium to be 3rd in the General and winner of the flying goals.
Undoubtedly the brightest day of the season for the team.
After this triumph the Cartagena team faces with great motivation the great challenges of the second part of the season, among which the Circuito Cántabro, the Vuelta a Pamplona, ​​the Vuelta a la Ribera del Duero, the new Challenge to the Comarcas de Murcia and the Championships of Spain, which will be held in Soria next September.
