The General Director of the European Union, External Action and Cooperation, Manuel Pleguezuelo, participated yesterday in the institutional act of the Project of Intercultural Community Intervention promoted by the Obra Social 'La Caixa' in 37 neighborhoods throughout Spain, in collaboration with the Cepaim Foundation and the City of Cartagena, which the Community finances with 8,000 euros within the framework of aid for awareness and education for development cooperation.
In the IV Open Summer School activities have been developed to revitalize the neighborhood, generating spaces for intercultural coexistence and social cohesion in the historic center and the Cartagena station sector, in the context of which Cepaim has conducted education and training workshops for development sustainable, among other actions.
In this way, it has fulfilled the purpose of making known in a practical way the lines of action and goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, established by the United Nations Organization to alleviate situations of inequality in the world and in the local areas.
