Citizens Cartagena continues to carry out an exhaustive monitoring of the Residential Buenos Aires and for this, the spokesman of the Municipal Group of Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, met again with representatives of the neighbors who assured that the local government is committed to solve the problems of the roundabout, sanitation and lighting before the end of this year.
"The residential residents want to trust in the promises of the Government, but they have been waiting for 6 years for the situation to improve, which is why from Cs we commit ourselves to continue monitoring all the pending and ongoing actions to guarantee that the deadlines, "says orange spokesman.
At the meeting, held in the offices of the orange training in the Consistorial Palace, the neighbors reported on the latest actions that have been carried out and the work that is pending to be done so that the more than 300 people living in their homes leave behind 6 years of struggles and grievances.
During the meeting, the president of the Residential Association of Residents of Buenos Aires, M.ª Ángeles Monerri;
and the vocal Juan Carlos Mellado, transmitted to Manuel Padín that, although it is true that the local government has already begun to perform some work, there is still much to be done to restore the dignity of their homes.
On the problem of lighting derived from the massive theft of copper connections, the president said that several lamps had already been replaced and that the local executive had committed to restore the light completely this summer.
The problem of sewerage, on the other hand, continues unresolved.
The Neighborhood Association also claims a roundabout access to the intersection with the RM 322 highway, the placement of a container for each block and the improvement of the regularity of the bus service.
Citizens Cartagena refuses to leave alone the more than 300 residents of Buenos Aires in this struggle that lasts longer than 6 years.
"These people have spent too much time paying a high price for some homes that in principle were to have a variety of services such as sports facilities or school, but now lack the most basic services," laments the spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena.
Manuel Padín reminded the neighbors that Citizens presented last April a motion that was not approved to set up a Working Table with all the municipal groups, technicians of the City Council and the Community and a representation of the residents of the residential.
Cs spokesman regrets the result of that vote because he says that "this issue involves many actors and every problem must be resolved through the appropriate body." Neither the City can resolve all the demands on their own, nor the Community, nor the Business".
