Miguel García Quesada, regional deputy, has assured that on the occasion of the commemoration of July 12, day of the proclamation of the Canton, the parliamentary group of Podemos has presented an initiative in the Assembly to be introduced in the Secondary Education Curriculum Obligatory in our Autonomous Community, content related to the History of the Canton of Cartagena.
García Quesada explained that Podemos is committed to knowing and studying the facts related to the cantonal revolution.
It is a period "unknown to many of our citizens, although not so long ago they happened, but whose influence is still alive today."
Therefore, the deputy of Podemos has claimed that students know "our history and that of our culture, when it is committed to the struggle for the conquest of freedoms and social rights, as is the case of the claim of the Canton today commemorates in Cartagena. "
