MC Cartagena will present, at the next municipal plenary to celebrate this month, a series of questions to know the state of what is the sanctioning procedure opened on 14 February against the councilor of the PP, Álvaro Valdés, for urban infringement.
Through the spokesman of the Municipal Group MC Cartagena, José López, will also ask if the interested parties have already been notified.
In the affirmative case, it will be questioned as to whether a sanctioning resolution proposal has already been issued and what the sanction amounts to, while, if not, it will be interested in the reason why the sanctioner does not advance against councilor Álvaro Valdés.
Finally, the local government will be asked about "if it has reconsidered and will send the file to the Office of the Prosecutor to clarify if there is a criminal offense in the lack of initiation of the sanctioning after the Local Police report".
It should be remembered that, at the Municipal Assembly on February 26, the councilor of the PSOE, Francisco Aznar, informed, after questions of MC, of the opening of a sanctioning procedure for urban infringement against the mayor of the PP, Álvaro Valdés.
José López recalled that "this infraction was uncovered by the Municipal Group of MC Cartagena, after examining the files relating to the buildings adjacent to the acquired by expropriation for expansion of the administrative building, discovered the business interests of Álvaro Valdés in the area and a possible illegal work, denounced by agents of the Local Police, in addition to knowing some manifestations of neighbors who complained that Valdés boasted of his influence in the Town Hall ".
The mayor of Cartagena has drawn attention to the fact that "Espejo did not open Valdés the sanctioner when he was councilor of Urbanism, as it was not open to him because of the work without a license of his house. PSOE and, in particular, Aznar, for pursuing these irregularities, because as we all know they are very given to the change of cards and this one is sweet for both ".
Five months have passed since the opening of the file was known, reason why MC will ask the municipal government at the next plenary session for the advances in this procedure, "we consider it of general interest to know if the files that affect councilors advance and receive the same treatment as the rest of the administrated, "said Lopez, adding that this information is even more necessary" when in the matter of Francisco Espejo, there was already a municipal employee who stated in the Office of the Attorney General that, in these matters, regarding the beginning of work without a license by Espejo, no sanctions were opened ".
"We trust that our stay in the City Council has served to banish these practices, but we want to confirm it through these questions, because in the Urban Discipline Service continues the employee who manifested before the Prosecutor such a surprising criterion, which could be called dubio pro PP ", the MC spokesman has argued.
José López concluded by saying that "depending on the answers we receive, we will send the file to the Prosecutor's Office, which, as usual, the PSOE refused to send in February despite the evidence of irregularities."
