The City of Cartagena recognizes the success of Cartagena athletes in Table Tennis, for this reason this Monday, July 9, some of the players have been received at the Palace Hall by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón and the Councilor for Sports , Obdulia Gómez.
All the players have been trained at the Mesa Municipal Tennis School of Cartagena: the U23 Individual Spanish Champion, Miguel Vilchez;
the Spanish Champion U-23 Doubles, Miguel Vilchez;
Bronze medal for teams Su-23, Pablo López-Cortijo, Javier Valero, Juan Pedro Sánchez and Javier Murcia;
Youth Individual Bronze Medal, Javier Valero;
Bronze medal for youth teams, Adrián Garrido, Javier Valero, Juan Pedro Sánchez and Miguel Vilchez;
Silver Youth Doubles Medal;
Javier Valero and Juan Pedro Sánchez;
Bronze Medal in Doubles Absolute, Miguel Vilchez;
Participation of the female children's team;
Candela Alarcón, and Illari Pajares;
and in the Prebenjamín category, Esteban Fullea.
The mayor of Cartagena expressed her satisfaction at being able to receive them and congratulated them for the good results obtained "thanks to you because you are giving a lot and good to talk about Cartagena", have been some of the words with which Castejón has addressed the table tennis players.
For its part, the Councilor for Sports, besides congratulating them, wanted to thank the great work and good work of the Municipal School of Table Tennis Cartagena "because I know that many of you have gone through it."
The mayor also had words of praise for the work of coach José Montalbán for the work he does with the entire team.
"I know that in addition to your coach is your psychologist, your friend, and even your cloth of tears," concluded Gomez, before going to be photographed with athletes to immortalize this reception.
