They used a commercial space to manipulate and distribute the drug and medicines
In the register practiced in the establishment, 200 grams of cocaine, cutting substance, tools for handling and cash have been seized.
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of services aimed at preventing and prosecuting drug trafficking, has dismantled an active point of sale of cocaine and illegal drugs enabled in a commercial establishment in Cartagena.
Those responsible for the establishment have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crime of drug trafficking.
Agents of prevention of citizen security of the Benemérita initiated the investigation when having indications that through a public establishment of the Cartagena town could be dealing with drugs.
The first investigations carried out on the establishment allowed to verify the presumed manipulation and sale of large amounts of cocaine, using commercial hours, as well as the influx of any type of persons, for the supposed commission of the criminal act.
The investigators verified that at the front of the establishment there were two persons who, presumably, at the same time carrying out the commercial activity as cover for their illicit activities, was also used for the laundering of capital obtained from drug trafficking.
Performance of dogs trained in drug detection
Once all the necessary evidence has been obtained and prior judicial authorization, the Civil Guard has made the registration in the commercial establishment and, thanks to the action of a Can de la Benemérita trained in drug detection, it has been proven the existence of narcotic substances in the interior of the premises.
Finally, the civil guards seized 200 grams of cocaine, presented in rock, and the tools used for handling and preparing the doses, such as a precision scale and elements for cutting, among others.
A considerable amount of money has also been seized in notes of varying value and fractional currency and a considerable amount of drugs, which could have been illicitly distributed to be administered to animals.
During the search, the Civil Guard has arrested the two suspects as alleged perpetrators of drug trafficking.
The Spanish detainees, aged 27 and 33, neighbors of Cartagena and Fuente Álamo, and with police records, the drug seized, the effects seized and the proceedings ordered have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Cartagena (Murcia).
