The Nicomedes Gómez Subjective Room of the Consistorial Palace opened on Thursday, July 5 at 8 pm, within its line of promotion of young artists, the exhibition "Furs".
The opening ceremony was attended by the Councilor for Youth, Education and Culture, David Martínez Noguera, who was with the artist Paula Díaz Marcos, a young Cartagena student of Fine Arts, who despite his youth has an incipient career with participation in many collective exhibitions, this being his first individual.
The exhibition can be visited until September 10, from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 1:30 pm and from 5 pm to 7 pm;
Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
His exhibition 'Skins' is integrated by two different projects;
'Duel' and '365'.
In both, the author realizes an introspective of the human being, looking for the emotion and the transmission of feelings, trying at the same time to catch the spectator visually with a great emotional and symbolic load.
Duelo is a pictorial project that consists of 5 pieces.
These are emotional self-portraits, which represent the different phases of grief after the loss of a loved one.
The 5 portraits are a support of intense emotions where he tells without words his intimate experience.
Through them the spectator goes through the different physiological and emotional changes that take place in the duel;
Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
365 is a multidisciplinary project in which painting, photography and printing are intertwined.
Looking for an exploration of the female human body from a very personal and different point of view.
Small portraits of fragments of the body, full of emotion and concept, in which he tries to capture the musicality of the curves and the sensuality of the skin.
After the inauguration, at 8:30 p.m., there was a concert of Clarinets where Roy Jowitt Clarinet Quartet in the hall of the Palace Hall programmed by the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena.
