The House of Folklore of Palma received yesterday Maribel Quinones, known in the world of copla as Martirio.
The artist offered, within the National Folklore Festival in the Region of Cartagena, the conference 'Women and copla', whose ticket sales were intended to benefit the 'Association Against Cancer of La Palma', for which they have obtained more than 700 euros.
The councilman of Culture, David Martinez, went to La Palma on Wednesday night, July 4, to listen to the conference of Martirio, along with he was also the president of the Folk Group City of Cartagena de La Palma, Pedro Antonio Gomez.
With all the activities that are being carried out, between June 30 and July 8, the festival tries to make known the customs and traditions of the Campo de Cartagena region.
The contest celebrates this year its XXVI edition focusing on this occasion in the 'Cafés cantantes'.
Its closing and final gala will take place on Saturday, July 7 at night, with the performances of various national folk groups in the Palmeral de las Casas Grandes.
The entrance will be free, until full capacity is reached.
