The Ombudsman admits for processing the claim of the Municipal Group MC for the situation in which their councilors and workers are in the development of their work (02/07/2018)

This body, competent to hear and decide on this matter, informs that it is studying the complaint of the training, to which it will give an account of the content of the information received and of the pertinent procedures in its action with the City Council.

This morning, the municipal MC Group has received a letter from Francisco Fernández, Ombudsman, in which this body reports on the admission to processing of the claim presented by the cartagenerista training in relation to the situation, within the City Council, in the who are their councilors and workers at the time of carrying out their work.

In this way, the Ombudsman, as the competent body to hear and decide on this circumstance, has stated in his letter that "once your complaint has been studied, it must be admitted because it meets the requirements established in Article 54 of the Constitution, in relation to the Organic Law 3/1981, of April 6, which regulates this institution ".

Comparative tort consented by the Socialist Mayor's Office

Maintained in time, by the Socialist City Hall, this comparative grievance regarding the distribution of space in the municipal offices, the councilor and head of Transparency of MC, María José Soler, has assured that "we will continue demanding what is fair , as we always do, and denouncing the abuses that the local executive commits, in this case against our political group,

trying to hinder our task of attention to the citizens and of control and control of the Government ".

This circumstance was brought to the attention of the Socialist Mayor's Office by means of a letter addressed to Ana Belén Castejón, registered on January 12, 2018, and to which MC received no response.

"Our request was ignored, consenting to this comparative grievance", pointed María José Soler, who has also underlined that a series of questions were raised to the Plenary on this matter "to which we responded in a negative way without debating, acting , once again, in an authoritarian and despotic manner. "

Representing fifteen thousand Cartagena

In this sense, Soler recalled that the work of MC represents fifteen thousand Cartagena.

To do this, the municipal group is composed of a total of ten members, five councilors elected and five workers with assigned tasks of advice and communication.

For all this, the mayor has considered that "our work does not take place under optimal conditions, lacking a minimum space required by law."

Especially serious is the lack of an area to receive citizens.

Also, María José Soler has expressed her desire that the situation be resolved in the coming weeks "in the face of the end of the legislature, so that all the groups can arrive on equal terms, being able to develop our task and ensuring the proper development of municipal life. "

Violation of the fundamental rights of MC councilors

On the other hand, Soler recalled that in recent times the Court of Contentious Administrative No. 1 of Cartagena estimated the complaint against Ana Belén Castejón for the violation of the fundamental rights of the councilors of MC in the Governing Board of December 29 of 2017.

Thus, responsible for Transparency of training Cartagena has ruled that "the admission to process this complaint is a sign that our rights may continue to be attacked by despotism that the PSOE has been showing for a long time."
