The Cartagena training has submitted a letter addressed to Rosa Peńalver to end the arbitrariness and not to exclude MC, José Lopez, and essential issues such as administrative decentralization, the Autumn Barometer
On June 14, the publication of the 'Spring Barometer' of the Region of Murcia, which was carried out by the Murcian Center for Public Opinion Studies (CEMOP), was published.
Yesterday, MC Cartagena presented a brief, signed by the president of the formation, Jesús Giménez, to his homonym in the Regional Assembly of Cartagena, the socialist Rosa Peńalver, after detecting "various omissions that affect transparency, political plurality and object of the barometer itself ".
Given this situation, the president of MC Cartagena, Jesus Giménez, accompanied by the mayor of the Cartagena training, Ricardo Segado, presented the aforementioned letter before the registry of the autonomous parliament.
MC requires the president of the Regional Assembly to "include in the next study commissioned to CEMOP, by the Regional Assembly, the consultation on the need for administrative decentralization, both at the regional level, with the development of the Law 7/1983, of October 7, of Territorial Decentralization and collaboration between the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and the Local Entities, as state, with the restitution of the province of Cartagena ".
Giménez argues that both situations are "very topical and are related to the low political weight at the national level of our Autonomous Community, the lack of regional feeling and the lack of logical criteria and solidarity in the budget distribution in our community uniprovincial issues that, in a complementary way, must also be studied ".
In addition, it is requested that "in the section on valuing leaders include José López Martínez, former mayor of Cartagena and prominent figure of the regional political scene, who has been ignored in the previous barometer, despite including in it politicians who are not active in any regional or local institution at present. "
Finally, it is demanded that MC Cartagena be included "in the section on the intention to vote and the parties for which an assessment is requested".
Jesús Giménez: "We are the main concern for the parties of the Regional Assembly"
The president of MC Cartagena, Jesus Giménez, explained the position of the Cartagena training, noting that "after the spring barometer, we observed that it was directed and tendentious to avoid, precisely, that the public opinion of the Region should pronounce on MC and, in particular, about José López, and also about some matter that we consider of the greatest interest ".
The leader of MC has called attention to the fact that "he did not ask about administrative decentralization, nor about the situation we live in the Autonomous Community, we do not have weight at the state level, we do not have any regional feeling, and we do not ask about it. in the barometer. "
"We are worried because we believe that, the president of the Assembly and the groups, what they have sought is to become the 'fat soup' among all of them and, for this, they have wanted to have other formations and even with politicians who are not in This is the case of a party that was born a few days ago and that has no representation, or the former president of the Autonomous Community, Alberto Garre, of the PP, which did appear among the leaders who were asked and, surprisingly, did not I did for José López, even though MC has confirmed that he will attend the regional elections again as we did in 2015, so we do not understand that we have been excluded, "Jesús Giménez denounced.
Regarding the presence of other formations without parliamentary representation, the MC president stressed that "MC is deliberately ignored because we are the biggest concern they have and we regret, of course, that the president of the Regional Assembly has lent to this game and exclude an important part, Cartagena, from that barometer.
