On the morning of Friday, June 29, the symbolic raising of the 'Q of Quality' and blue flags of the beaches of the Cartagena coast was held in Cala Cortina.
Specifically, a dozen beaches have received the distinction of Quality Q and blue fabric will wave in six coastal spots of the region.
In the same way, two blue paths continue to be maintained.
The event was attended by the Councilor for the area of ​​Economic Strategy and Finance and Tourism, Carmen Martín del Amor.
The 'Q of Quality' flags, awarded to those beaches that meet a series of requirements in terms of services, have been awarded this year to a total of 12 beaches in the municipality, which are San Ginés, Cala Cortina, Levante Beach of Cabo de Palos, Lost Boat (La Manga), Galúa (La Manga), Cala del Pino (La Manga), Cavanna Beach (La Manga), La Gola (La Manga), Honda Beach, Sea de Cristal, Levante Beach of Islas Minores and Playa Paraíso.
On the other hand, the blue flags, which measure the cleanliness and clarity of the waters, among other issues, will flow on six beaches, such as San Ginés, Cala Cortina, Levante Beach of Cabo de Palos, Isla Plana and the Barracks of The Azohía and to which this year has been added the one obtained by the Real Club de Regatas.
Cartagena also has two blue trails, one in Cabo de Palos and the other in La Azohía.
The mayor of Tourism, Carmen Martín del Amor, has indicated that from the City Council is working "tirelessly" so that next year you can increase the number of beaches that obtain these badges.
