Through this video, Juventudes MC approaches the work developed by members of the UPCT Racing Team, a team made up of students from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
Alejandro Olojo, engineering student and team member, reports on his experience and what the project consists of.
Also, the director of the School of Industrialists of the UPCT, Patricio Franco, explains the opportunities for the future of these young people, affirming that engineering "opens the doors to automotive companies from all over the world, such as the Society of Technicians of Automotive (STA), Formula 1 or Roborace. "
Franco praises the benefits of Green Power, a competition that promotes the passion for engineering in schools and institutes, and which regrets the little help it receives despite the importance of this initiative for the training of young people.
With the help of parents and teachers, the students manage to develop and build their own car and get a great experience to choose, in the future, for industrial engineering or other related careers.
It should be remembered that MC Cartagena included an amendment in the municipal budgets of 2018 to collaborate with the development of the projects of the UPCT Racing Team, with an allocation of 6,000 euros.
The initiative, prepared by Ricardo Segado, has allowed to rectify the decision of the current local government that forgot the need to bet on the youth of the UPCT and, ultimately, for the future they represent for society.
