The Independent Trade Union Center and Civil Servants CSIF denounces, one more year, the unfortunate situation in which the Police Station of Cartagena is located.
It is a building that was reformed almost 9 years ago and currently suffers a series of shortcomings that are affecting both the police and civil personnel working in this property, as well as users who come to these offices daily to issue and renew DNIs and passports.
The employees have been working for a while, in the middle of the building, without air conditioning and apparently with a difficult solution urgently, as the situation requires.
The conditions of heat and humidity are practically "unbearable" because they are exceeding 28 degrees, with a relative humidity that approaches 80%.
In CSIF we ask ourselves "what is going to happen before the announced imminent rise in temperature, scheduled for the next few days in the Region?"
Responsible for CSIF in the sector of General State Administration (AGE) have had the opportunity to visit these units and see, first hand, the negligence on the part of the Administration to repair these deficiencies so "remember that the Real is being violated Decree 486/97 that establishes the minimum health and safety provisions at work ", and determines that for sedentary office work the temperature should be between 17 and 27 degrees Celsius, being currently above 28 and with a humidity relative to more than 70 percent, which also exceeds what is stipulated in the aforementioned Decree.
From the sector of General State Administration (AGE) of CSIF we denounce this unfortunate situation and we request, and we demand the Ministry of the interior and the General Subdirectorate of the Police to take the corresponding measures in this matter.
