The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, met on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 26, with the Coordinator of Associations of Los Mateos to analyze the recovery work of the neighborhood.
The work in Los Mateos is part of the European project MAPS (Military Assets as Public Spaces), which includes initiatives aimed at raising awareness, through various activities, of the importance of collaboration to maintain the spaces that make up the neighborhood in good condition. , and the Fenix ​​Manifesto, which is a comprehensive intervention plan in the neighborhood of Los Mateos, composed of a coordinator formed by groups and neighborhood associations with the City of Cartagena, and consists of two action lines: a comprehensive plan and a action oriented towards prevention to avoid a situation of deterioration.
According to the councilor, "our neighborhoods and councils, abandoned for too long, are still our priority."
