The deputation of El Albujón celebrated the big days of its patron festivities during the weekend of June 23 and 24.
Within the framework of the activities programmed by the Association of Neighbors and the City of Cartagena, on the night of Saturday took place the traditional Migas contest.
The act was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, together with the mayor of Festejos, Juan Pedro Torralba, who had the opportunity to taste this centenary recipe.
During the night of San Juan, the Floral Offering was also performed, which was accompanied by the Tuna.
And at twelve o'clock at night the Fireworks Castle was launched and the Burning of Juan and Juana was proceeded.
On Sunday June 24, the day of San Juan, the day began very early with Diana Floreada through the streets of the town after which the mass was celebrated in honor of San Juan, patron of the town.
In the afternoon the procession took place and to close the festivities of 2018 the Grand Trace for the end of the holidays was launched.
TORRECIEGA AND NEW CARTAGENA
With the arrival of summer there are many neighborhoods and county councils that celebrate their holidays these days.
This is the case of Torreciega and the New Cartagena.
Torreciega began its festivities on Friday, June 22, with activities in the Local Social at 7:00 p.m. which consisted in the exhibition of photography and poetry.
At 20:00 the performance of the Dance School took place and at 9:00 pm the Proclamation of the festivities made by the councilor of the Sustainable Development and Public Function area, Francisco Aznar, will be announced.
To end the day the group 'Leidy Luna' and 'Manuel Luzón' who put the music at night.
The Nueva Cartagena neighborhood began its festivities on Tuesday, June 19, and will be delayed in time until next Sunday, July 1.
The councilman of Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba, was in charge of offering the Proclamation on Friday, June 22, later the opening of the Fairground was made.
