The commitment of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena for the recruitment of students in the Far East has been visualized this morning at the Rectorate, where a group of 35 students from ITE College of Singapore and a delegation from the Polytechnic of Shanghai have met. signed an agreement so that their students can finish their studies at the UPCT.
For the third consecutive year, students from Singapore will carry out training programs at the Polytechnic of Cartagena for a week.
Sports management is the module chosen by most of them, while a dozen will receive Telecommunications classes and five have opted for Naval Engineering.
The students, accompanied by several teachers, will stay in the residence of Caballero Street.
For its part, the Chinese delegation has signed an agreement so that students of the Shanghai Polytechnic University, which has 17,000 students, can complete the last year of their studies at the School of Business Sciences of the UPCT, with the option to also make some of their master's degrees.
Both Asian groups have been received by the Rector of the Polytechnic of Cartagena, Alejandro Díaz, and by the heads of the Vice-Rector for International Relations directed by José Manuel Ferrández, by the Director General of Universities, Juan Monzó, and by the Councilor for Education of Cartagena, David Martínez.
The UPCT, which began its 'conquest' of Asia with agreements with Indian universities for which almost a hundred students from this country come each year, has also sealed alliances with institutions in Singapore, China and Korea.
