CTSSP wants to express its rejection and concern at the decision of the Provincial Court of Navarre to issue provisional liberty on bail of 6,000 euros for the five convicts of "La Manada".
Today we are filled with indignation and impotence for the impunity of rapists due to a patriarchal justice anchored in the past.
We consider this decision as a mockery to all victims of sexist violence, and to all women, making it clear how little the current judicial system is concerned about the safety and dignity of the female collective, which accounts for more than half of the population.
In addition, this unjustified provisional freedom of the convicted generates a risk for women, including an incentive for other groups that could do the same to the proximity of parties such as the San Fermines.
We demand more than ever courageous measures, institutional bets that support women and a commitment of all political and social agents and an urgent gender training for legal operators.
CTSSP-Podemos will join this afternoon to the concentration that the feminist collectives have organized in the Plaza del Icue at 8:00 p.m.
