The City of Cartagena is preparing the dissolution of Televisión Digital Local Cartagena SA, after thirteen years have elapsed since its establishment without having developed any activity.
The Government of the PP constituted in 2005 the Digital Television Local Cartagena SA for the production and commercialization of audio-visual contents as well as the diffusion of television programs.
The truth is that, 13 years later, this municipal capital company has not had any activity.
Given this situation, the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has decided to dissolve it as soon as possible.
After dissolving the Foundation of the Office of Congresses and integrating its functions in the Cartagena City of Cultures Society, the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has decided to continue with the policy of suppressing inactive municipal entities and organizations to rationalize the structure of the City Council.
The roadmap to be followed for the dissolution will begin with the call of the Board of Directors, which must first formulate the 2017 accounts, then propose to the General Shareholders' Meeting that it ratifies the dissolution agreement of the company and finally appoint at least five new members who must constitute the liquidation commission as established in the bylaws.
The intention of the mayor is to propose that the liquidation commission be integrated by a member of each political formation with representation in the Town Hall, who will have the advice of the head of the Municipal Accounting Office and the director of Economic and Budgetary Management.
At present, the Board of Directors is represented by all the political groups (3 of the PP, 2 PSOE, 2 MC, 1 C's and 1 CTSSP), with the councilor being the mayor Isabel García.
