The cartagenerista formation will demand that the second phase be finished like this and that the kiosk be put out to bid for its later opening to the public

The Municipal Group MC will present a plea at the next Plenary to urge the local government, and specifically the Public Services Area, to continue with the second phase of the project initiated by the cartagenerista training in the park annexed to the Palace of Sports, in order to install a calisthenics zone there and keep its gardens in good condition.

Likewise, the training will demand that the installed kiosk be tendered for its subsequent opening to the public.

In this sense, Ricardo Segado, councilor of MC and responsible for presenting the initiative, recalled that one of the projects carried out by the Cartagena party in its Government stage was the adaptation of the land annexed to the Palace of Sports, where a Recreation and recreation park for residents.

Similarly, "has served as a catalyst for one of the most depressed areas of the municipality, as is the neighborhood of Villalba," pointed the mayor.

Second phase of the project

This project, which has wide walkways, garden areas, a pond with waterfall, numerous street furniture, picnic areas and a kiosk, was being carried out in several phases, taking into account the budgetary availability of the City Council.

In its second phase, "the installation of a calisthenics park was planned in order to meet the demand of many young athletes, lovers of this alternative modality that is practiced in public spaces and in specific facilities", explained Segado.

Finally, the MC councilor regretted that "today, we do not know what the plans of the local government to continue, or not, with this project for the environment, as long as we have seen a lack of maintenance of the landscaped areas ".
