Yesterday, the member of MC Cartagena in the Neighborhood Board of Alumbres, Andrés Pérez, gave continuity to the information requirements made by the Cartagena training in relation to the incident that occurred on June 12 at the Escombreras Valley Refinery.
He did it through a battery of questions made by Pérez about the information received, the institutions involved in supplying them, as well as the preventive measures that had been contemplated.
In the debate participated the mayor of Cartagena in the Consistory, Francisco Calderón, who announced the intention of MC to present an initiative in the next full municipal to request the presence and participation of the Ministry of Health and the Enterprise and Environment in meetings to make the Air Quality Board.
Calderón pondered the participation of both portfolios to promote collaboration between administrations, as happened with the installation of a measuring plant Bisphenol A in the environment of La Aljorra, action promoted by the mayor.
In this sense, it should be recalled that Francisco Calderón has insistently demanded the updating of the Emergency Plan that, after more than a decade without readjusting, needs an adaptation to be useful to the needs raised in relation to the emissions made. by the established companies.
Thus, the Quality Board would be constituted as a consultant entity, formed by all the agents and entities involved who, without a doubt, would enrich the necessary process.
Other questions
Perez finished his participation in the Plenary of the Neighborhood Board, which was also attended by the coordinator of neighborhoods and councils of MC, Enrique Pérez, asking about the administrative phase in which is the execution of lot n ° 5 of the maintenance project, repair, construction and natural assets, as well as in what situation is the process of awarding the garden contract in peri-urban districts, endowed with a budget item that MC considers clearly insufficient.
