The Local Government Board, meeting this afternoon with extraordinary character, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the application for European Social Fund (ESF) aid provided in the Operational Program of Employment, Training and Education (POEPE ) amounting to 2.9 million euros.
As explained by the mayor, who has formulated the proposal, it is aid intended to co-finance project initiatives in the field of insertion of people at risk of social exclusion, through the implementation of integrated and personalized itineraries.
The actions would be carried out through the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE), with a contribution from the ESF of 2.9 million euros between 2018 and 2021 and about 735,000 euros by the City Council.
Its schedule would be 48,420 euros in 2018;
1.2 million in 2019;
1.2 million in 2020 and 1.2 million in 2021.
FISHING PORT
On the other hand, the Local Government Board has approved the presentation of projects to the call for grants for non-productive projects under the Local Participatory Development Strategy of the Local Action Group for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Region of Murcia (GALPEMUR) within the framework of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, corresponding to 2018.
To this call the City will present the interpretation project of the fishing port of Cartagena, with which it will try to put in value the local cultural fishing heritage;
to value the activity of fishing and its roots in culture;
promote an attitude of care and protection of nature and develop actions to optimize and promote the linkage of fishing with tourism through the diversification of the market of Cartagena towards tourism activities.
OTHER AGREEMENTS
In another order of things, the Board has approved the necessary procedures for the adaptation of the schedule of application of items to various contracts and municipal actions.
Likewise, it has rejected the revision of a construction license granted in 2007 for the construction of two duplexes in Isla Plana and has been informed by the Councilor for Sustainable Development, Francisco Aznar, the planning licenses granted between April 18 and December 12. last June, which will mean an income of about 826 thousand euros in taxes and fees, as well as the 20 disciplinary proceedings of the Quality of Life department with a total of fines of 74,000 euros.
