El Ensanche Almarjal is celebrating its 'patron festivities', which will take place from June 17 to 24, in honor of San Juan Bautista.
The program of this celebration is full of a multitude of leisure activities aimed at all types of audiences.
The events began on Sunday, June 17, with the opening of the festive venue, located next to the social premises.
That same day took place the proclamation offered by the councilor of the area of ​​Culture, Education and Youth of the city of Cartagena, David Martinez.
He also wanted to accompany the residents of the Ensanche in their parties, the mayor of Citizen Participation, Public Services and Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba.
After the reading of the proclamation, the election of Mises was celebrated among the girls of 8 and 12 years old who had previously registered.
The end of parties put a great dance in charge of the group 'Leidy moon'.
A festive day in which there was no lack of free snacks for everyone present and the celebration of a family lottery that brightened the night.
The recreational days will continue throughout the week, with Saturday the procession of the patron through the neighborhood streets.
The neighbors can be dressed in rosemary to accompany the saint.
That same day you can taste free paella, offered by the association's canteen.
On Sunday, June 24, the festivities will end and they will be fired until next year with a fireworks display.
