The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has valued the appointment of socialist Pedro Saura as Secretary of State for Infrastructure as "the best decision and the best for the Region of Murcia, especially for Cartagena."
The councilor has highlighted the questions of journalists that Saura knows well the reality of the municipality of Cartagena, and recalled that they have worked together and tirelessly to defend the Congress of Deputies to Cartagena before the issues that depended on the Government of Spain.
Asked if it expects greater agility in the procedures of arrival of the AVE to Cartagena, Castejón has said that they will work together and that there will be a lot of fluidity and communication between the City Council and the Ministry of Development, as well as information at the moment, sensitivity and dose of reality.
To questions from journalists, the mayor has also responded with respect to the call of the Air Quality Board.
