The López Belmonte soccer field will be the stage, this weekend of June 16 and 17, of the celebration of the 'I Memorial football 11 Miguel Villagordo' and of the 'I Memorial football 8 Cayetano Sabater', which have the collaboration of the City Council of Cartagena, through the Department of Sports.
With two sporting events it is intended to pay tribute to these two important figures of football in the municipality.
To present all the details of both events have appeared today Thursday the mayor of Sports, Obdulia Gómez;
the president of the football club La Esperanza, José Rivera;
the coach of the women's team, Andres Francisco Martín, and the captain of the Fenemino regional team, Yaiza Almudena Rascón.
The 'I Memorial Football 11 Miguel Villagordo' will be held on Saturday June 16 with a competition that will bring together the teams CD Minerva, FC Cartagena and EF Esperanza, of the Women's League.
The first meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m.
To finish the ceremony, the trophies will be handed out to all the participants and to the best player of the day.
Councilor for Sports, Obdulia Gómez, stressed that Miguel Villagordo was a proponent of indoor football and football 11, in which he played in various teams of the municipality, including the football school La Esperanza.
Also, Villagordo was always on the side of the inclusion of women in sports, "promoting women's football in the region and in the region," said the mayor of Sports.

On Saturday, June 16, the football competition linked to the Cayetano Sabater Memorial will begin with the dispute of Benjamin category matches.
On Sunday it will be the turn of the juvenile category.
The first four classified will receive a trophy for their feat, in the same way, the best players in each category will be awarded with an award.
To end the sports day, all participants in the 'I Memorial Cayetano Sabater' can taste a giant paella.
