In a total of 12 beaches of the municipality of Cartagena will wave this summer Q flags of Tourist Quality.
The City Council, through the Department of Public Services and Litoral, directed by Juan Pedro Torralba, has requested the renewal of these badges that must be confirmed by the auditors next July in Cala Cortina, Playa Paraíso, Mar de Cristal, Levante Beach in the Lesser Islands, Playa Honda, Cavanna, La Gola, San Ginés, Levante Beach in Cabo de Palos, Galúa and Barco Perdido.
It is the only Spanish seal that certifies the quality of services on Spanish beaches and to achieve this it is necessary to pass an exhaustive audit that certifies compliance with the international standard UNE-ISO 13009, which is internationally agreed.
The twelve Cartagena beaches that have surpassed this rigorous examination on other occasions, will pass next July the audits that guarantee the quality, security and professionalism of the services they offer and it is expected that all of them will revalidate it.
These certificates are attached to the five blue flags with which the beaches of the municipality were made last May.
Thus, the blue fabric can be seen waving on the Mediterranean beaches of Cala Cortina, Isla Plana, Levante in Cabo de Palos, San Ginés and El Cuartel beach in La Azohía, which this year has been added by the Royal Club de Regatas de Cartagena.
As you will remember the City of Cartagena, as well as other municipalities of the Mar Menor River decided last year not to request the renewal of this badge on the beaches of the salt lake, due to water quality problems that presented and the recovery process in which he is immersed.
