The Popular Celebrations of Barrio Peral began this Monday, June 11, with the proclamation of the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and will run until Monday, June 18.
Throughout the week the music and dance activities will take place in the neighborhood's Local Social.
Juan Pedro Torralba, Carmen Martín, Francisco Aznar, Obdulia Gómez and David Martínez also attended the opening ceremony.
The Popular Festivals will continue today, Tuesday, June 12 with the Great Dance enlivened by Antonio Silvente.
During the whole week and in different places, Football B, Petanque and Inflatable Placing championships will be held.
In the same way, in the Main Hall you can visit the painting exhibition by Pedro Córdoba.
In addition, on Wednesday the 13th the youngest will enjoy the show "Yoni Storytelling".
Throughout the week there are also scheduled performances and dances to be held at dusk.
On Sunday June 17 you can enjoy a free family paella in the Plaza de la Iglesia and from 18:00 hours family lottery games will be held.
To close the Fiestas Populares 2018 on Monday, June 18, the Cartagena III Theater Workshop will be held, in which two sainetes will be performed: 'La Manga Ancha' and 'Te la debo Santa Rita'.
