Drinking water and sewage service in the territorial demarcation of the Neighborhood Board
At present, different population centers close to the towns of Isla Plana and La Azohía are without basic services.
In this sense, there is a claim in the Campillo de Adentro already for decades, to be the only nucleus of the municipality without drinking water.
A total of sixty dwellings do not have this service, being an enclave in which some 250 people live and which doubles during the summer.
In this line, on the application of the surplus of Hidrogea (2011-2017), approved by the municipal Plenary on the initiative of MC, it will be requested, with respect to the populations of this Neighborhood Board, that it be allocated equitably and, for the most part, to works on new sewerage networks, water service to non-existent zones and decentralization of meters.
Within these actions, it is demanded that the project and execution of works be included for the supply of drinking water in Campillo de Adentro, and the provision of sewage service to thirty homes in Los Madriles.
About Los Madriles, attention will be drawn to the exclusion of thirty homes from a general sanitation network in an area of ​​neighboring residences, requiring that this situation be brought to an end.
Emergency action in the palm grove of San Ginés promenade in La Azohía
Pedro Celdrán will also request that an urgent action be carried out in the palm grove of the San Ginés de La Azohía promenade, eliminating palms and dry trunks of palm trees, as there are specific areas that are very dangerous for users.
It should be recalled that, in March 2017, this Neighborhood Council unanimously approved, at the proposal of MC, a motion related to the San Ginés palm grove, where a technical report of its state was requested, after ten years of abandonment and the plague of the boll weevil has spread, so that, with the treatment protocol of Plant Health of the CARM, a joint action between the local and regional administrations could be carried out.
In this report, Celdrán said that "we know nothing of its development and whether there has been contact between the two administrations to seek solutions for treatment, sanitation and decorum in the area," saying that "it is only necessary to walk through this area to check its state of neglect and the search for a quick solution It is essential to materialize a gardening performance with the elimination of dry palm trees from the few that still have vegetative life ".
The vocal of MC has denounced "the lack of interest to make a quick and timely action in this area of ​​the palm grove by the municipal garden department headed by councilor Torralba, since the current contracting regulations allow it with a minor contract and thus a different image would be given to the one currently existing, facing the months of July and August. "
The MC proposal will also demand "the elaboration of a list of technical prescriptions for pruning service and treatment of public palm trees in La Azohía", similar to the project "Pruning and treatment of palms in roads of Cartagena", promoted from the City of Cartagena in the municipality.
Need of revision and repair in deficiencies detected in some services of populations of the Neighborhood Board
Likewise, Pedro Celdrán will present a request for a transfer to the municipal services on the need to carry out the review and repair of deficiencies detected in some services of this Neighborhood Board.
In particular, the maritime path that links Isla Plana with the San Ginés promenade and its continuity with La Azohía presents some deficiencies in the maintenance of some services:
Regarding cleanliness, the section of pedestrian path that begins in Isla Plana and crosses the Rambla del Cañar and runs through the greenhouse area until reaching the paving of San Ginés promenade, requires a clearing and cleaning in their respective margins. grasses and bushes, as well as the replacement of some woods from the existing fence that have detached and disappeared.
The firmness of the soil, which has some hollows in its layout, should be treated at the height of the greenhouses, where puddles form when it rains or when the irrigation water of the greenhouses overflows.
Likewise, a cleaning of the two existing terraces will have to be carried out before reaching the San Ginés cobblestone.
As for public lighting, it is necessary to review and replace the lighting between the beginning of the paving of San Ginés and La Azohía, where several street lamps do not serve and others have been destroyed, with breaks of lights and balloons.
Finally, it will be required to review and fix rails on the walk.
