The benefits obtained from the musical 'La fuerza del destino' have been donated, this Monday, June 11, to the ASIDO Cartagena and DiabetesCERO associations.
Each of them has received a check of 2,138 euros.
The musical event was organized by the Carnival Federation of Cartagena and the interpretation was given by the Cartagena company Implik2, who performed songs by the Spanish group Mecano, at the El Batel Auditorium in Cartagena.
The Carnival Federation organized this third act of solidarity, for which it had the collaboration of the City of Cartagena, in addition to the altruistic performance of the amateur music company in the city of Cartagena, Implik2.
The mayor of Culture, David Martínez, the president of the Carnival Federation, Carmen Sánchez, his vice president, Eduardo Pignatelli, along with the president of the delegation in Cartagena de DiabetesCERO, María Dolores García and the president of ASIDO Cartagena, Juan Pedro Sánchez have attended the act of delivery of the collection obtained.
The two associations have been very grateful for this kind of solidarity acts to be held.
The president of the delegation at Cartagena de Diabetes CERO, María Dolores García, thanked all the collaborators for their help, especially Implik2, "who carried the full weight of the performance".
The president of DiabetesCERO has said that the 2,138 euros will contribute to their association, "this money will help in the investigation of the cure of type 1 diabetes."
García has taken the opportunity to announce that on June 21 his association will go to the European Parliament to present the foundation and request funds for it.
A representative of each delegation from Spain will attend the Parliament, including that of Cartagena, which will represent María Dolores García herself.
For its part, Asido Cartagena will allocate the funds to the services provided to its associates that offer comprehensive care to people with Down Syndrome and intellectual disability.
The president of the association, Juan Pedro Sánchez, also thanked for the performance of these acts of solidarity "it is important that you count on us for this type of acts and aid, not only for the financial contribution we are receiving but for something that for us is more important, which is to give visibility to people with Down syndrome. "
To these thanks the vice president of the Federation of Carnival, Eduardo Pignatelli, has expressed that for them it has been a pleasure to participate in this type of events, helping associations of Cartagena that need it, also hopes to continue carrying out these acts of solidarity "we hope to continue In other years, doing these charitable acts that make the Carnival great, we are delighted that everything went well and you can invest that money in research ".
To finish the ceremony Asido Cartagena has presented the Carnival Federation and DiabetesCERO with a painting painted by the members of the association.
