The Association of Deaf People (Asorcar), in collaboration with the Department of Culture brings to Cartagena the first play made by and for people with hearing disabilities.
The performance of '100m2', by director José Luis Fernández Sánchez, will take place at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center on June 23 at 6:30 p.m. and will be carried out by the theater company El Grito.
"This theater company was founded more than a decade ago and is entirely made up of actors with hearing disabilities who have extensive theatrical and film experience.
The work they do adapting plays to sign language is vital so that people with hearing problems can enjoy art and culture on equal terms than the rest, "said Councilman for Culture, David Martínez Noguera.
El Grito not only acts in plays, but also performs pantomime, performances or short films but among all of this its theatrical aspect stands out, always with an innovative zeal, risking new challenges, seeking new experiences for the spectators, but also for the actors.
The play '100m2 'premiered at the National Drama Center for the special festival' A different look ', which seeks to find new scenic proposals with all kinds of people and abilities.
