This morning has been disputed the thirteenth edition of the Ciudad de Cartagena triathlon with more than 500 participants.
The event, organized by the Cartagena Triathlon Club, the Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia and the Cadena Ser, consisted of several modalities such as the Sprint, which is scoring for the Regional League, Categories of Minors from Benjamin to Cadet and the Triathlon of the Woman who has gathered a score of women.
For many it was their first triathlon, with the Marina Alcaraz victory remaining.
The start and finish of this triathlon, which seeks promotion and initiation in this sport, have been located in the Plaza Heroes de Cavite that has started with the reign, the Sprint, at 9 in the morning.
Álvaro Martínez, from the Melilla Swimming Club, has raised the winner's ribbon by marking a time of 1 hour and 33 seconds.
Half a minute later Hector Pujante crossed the line, from CT Arabí Yecla-Catlike (1:01:03), followed by Andrés Méndez, from CT Águilas Primaflor, who climbed to the third step of the absolute podium (1:01:19).
In the female category, Ángela Ojeda, from the EQTR-Rodacal Beyem, has been the clear winner reaching the finish line in 1 hour, 14 minutes and 16 seconds.
In second place was Karin Szabo, from Trinet it is never too late (1:15:58) completing the podium Miriam Álvarez, from the Triathlon Guerrita Alcantarilla (1:16:48).
In Minors, Jesús Montoya, from CT Caravaca, and Trinity Wales, from the Tritones Murcia Sport Club, have been the fastest cadets.
In children, Pablo León, from Caravaca, and Nieves Navarro, from Tritones Murcia.
While Sandro Alcaraz, from Tritones Murcia, and Eva María Sánchez, from CT Cartagena, were the winners in the juvenile category.
The next appointment of the Regional League will be in Cieza in the second edition of his triathlon that will be on June 16.
