The Graphene Association has given place today, June 1, in the Hall of the European Center for Business and Innovation of Cartagena (CEEIC) a program of events called 'Cartagena on the European route for innovation, the environment and graphene', that will take place on June 1 and 5.

This initiative has the collaboration of the City of Cartagena.

The sessions began on Friday, June 1, at the European Business and Innovation Center of Cartagena (CEEIC), starting at 9:30 am.

The inauguration was run by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, after what took place the first round table entitled What do we do with innovation ?, which has moderated the vice president of the Regional Federation of Metal Businessmen of Murcia (FREMM), Tomás Martínez.

Subsequently, around 12:20 hours, the activity was carried out The industrial polygon of the camachos: a floor opportunity for Technological Innovation and Graphene;

while at 13 o'clock the discussion, Innovation, Operation and History of the Peral Submarine, was held by Juan Ignacio Chacón.

This day has been dedicated to innovation, matching the date with the birth of the illustrious Cartagena inventor Isaac Peral.

In honor of his memory, this last conference and a talk about the figure and work of 'Isaac Peral the Innovator' and an exhibition of the model of the Peral submarine have been offered.

The purpose of this day was to show in Cartagena what is done for innovation to spread the innovative spirit to businesses and citizens.

The program involves various institutions and social agents, who all bet on innovation.

On June 5, coinciding with World Environment Day, the Port Authority will talk about the circular economy, the environment and renewable energies in the municipality.

The direct contact of Cartagena with the sea and its maritime vocation will be highlighted.

Graphene, nanotechnology and its applications in the industry will also be discussed, as well as an innovative opportunity for companies and research centers.
