On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, the Festival Much More May, dependent on the Department of Culture, proposes this Sunday, June 3, an open outlet to claim the visibility of bicycles and skates in the city.
The concentration is scheduled at 12:00 in the Plaza de España.
The aim is to achieve greater visibility of complaints and support from the public, for this four artistic actions of hacking have been created in the city, where the points of the bike lane will be marked with unconnected and impracticable layout.
Also, bicycles have been modified in the collaborative workshops of the Segunda vuelta project.
Reflection on sustainable mobility.
This artistic project is a citizen complaint, around sustainable mobility, and has the format of a collaborative workshop.
The project is based on a set of meeting-workshops where the poor state of the bike lane and sidewalks is denounced, as well as the difficult connection of public transport, poor signaling and lack of access for people with reduced mobility, turning the city into a draw for difficulties that make it unsafe for anyone who does not drive in a car.
This initiative, coordinated by the artist Lola Nieto, has the participation of associations: Vía Libre, MoviliCT, Bicue, FAVCAC and Masa Crítica.
The concentration is scheduled at 12:00 in the Plaza de España and a tour will take place, which will last approximately until 1:30 p.m., through the Alameda, San Antón, Media Sala and Los Dolores.
The activity will end with a formal request to the Department of Sustainable Development for the improvement of the situation, with the aim of working together to achieve a more friendly, healthy and sustainable municipality.
