and spontaneously in the so-called free musical axis |
One more year the Youth Council prepares for the celebration of the Music Festival scheduled for Saturday June 16 and this year will celebrate its fourth edition.
Strengthening this international celebration little by little in our city, the spirit comes back to be that the streets come alive with the participation of a large number of musicians who join the party open to anyone who wants to participate.
There will be two ways to do it:
In the "Musical Nooks": the Icue, the Monument to the Processionist, the Molina Palace or the Cuesta de la Baronesa will be some of the scenarios for the musicians who want to play on that day within the program of the event.
For this it will be necessary to make a previous registration through the web http://juventud.cartagena.es/fiestadelamusica/.
The registration period will be open from today until June 11 at 2:00 p.m. Once the organization has finished, it will inform the participants of the place, time and duration of the performance.
Those musicians who want to perform in the Musical Corners should have their own autonomous sound equipment.
Or in the "Free Musical Axis" with 3 points that will be on Calle Honda, next to the entrance to the Barrio del Foro Romano, on the corner of Calle Mayor with Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Plaza Castellini.
Identifying flags will mark the exact location of these points where anyone can play acoustically or with an autonomous sound system and limited power, at most 30 minutes.
This Free Space will be open to musicians from 8 pm to 10 pm and without prior registration.
It all started 35 years ago in France.
In 1982, the Ministry of Culture of France dreamed an idea for a new kind of musical festival.
They imagined a day when live music would be everywhere: corners and parks, balconies and historic buildings, streets and squares.
And, unlike a typical music festival, anyone and everyone would be invited to join and play music, or present performances.
The event would take place in June and would be called FĂȘte De La Musique.
Surprisingly, this dream came true and three decades later, the party has spread around the world and is now celebrated in more than 120 countries.
Last year nearly 800 cities around the world joined this celebration.
All information is available on the web http://juventud.cartagena.es/fiestadelamusica/
and through the email fiestamusica@ayto-cartagena.es
The Music Festival joins the celebration of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 and obtains the European seal for its activities.
This stamp brings unity to the celebrations and activities that take place in different countries, as a complementary activity to the temporary and permanent exhibitions of the museums.
