The Local Board of Perin will hold a plenary session tomorrow, Thursday, May 31, during which the representatives of MC Cartagena will present a series of initiatives aimed at improving road safety, lighting and signaling at certain points of the deputation.

Likewise, the Cartagena-based training will ask about the works program charged to the credit surpluses of the 2017 municipal surplus, at the same time that it will make a request about the maintenance and conservation of the roads to scattered nuclei.

Lack of security between the Ports of Santa Bárbara de Arriba and Perín

Given the lack of security on the old N-332, at kilometer 14.5, which lacks horizontal and vertical road markings that warn of existing dangerous curves, as well as nominative signage access to scattered nuclei throughout its four kilometers, the MC member, Juan Agüera, propose that the Councilor for Public Safety and Traffic of the City of Cartagena be urged to prepare a technical report and a road safety project for the aforementioned road, in addition to a budget appropriation for its execution as soon as possible to safeguard the neighbors and users of this road.

Installation of public lighting in disseminated rural core

On the other hand, Agüera will explain that, in spite of the fact that in recent years the territorial demarcation of Perín has been endowed with points of light, there are still private areas of this necessary and essential public service, leaving isolated neighbors in the rural area, in particular between the place of Los Victorias and Los Llanos.

For all these reasons, the Cartagena-based training will demand the provision, urgently, of street lighting to these homes, charged to the investment chapter of the Neighborhood Board of Perín through a technical and economic report.

Nominative signaling of population nuclei

In another order of matters, the member of MC in Perín, María Isabel Beltrán, will underline the need to commit economic allocations to cover registered performances of the different population groups that this Neighborhood Board has, demanding a minimum of seven thousand euros for such end.

In this sense, it should be remembered that Perín has many dispersed rural centers, some directly without nomination and others whose names are deteriorated or have disappeared.

All this, aggravated by the scarcity of signaling, which causes pedestrians and vehicles to take extreme precautions.

Questions about works charged to the 2017 surplus

In the same way, the neighborhood representatives of MC will question the Plenary about the programming of works with charge to the municipal surplus of 2017, which amounted to 12,561,272 euros, of which two and a half million have been allocated to sustainable investments in the municipality .

Specifically, the Neighborhood Board of Perín has been allocated thirty thousand euros distributed in two of its populations: twenty thousand for Cuesta Blanca and ten thousand for Torre Nicolás Pérez.

Thus, MC will ask if the City Council has consulted, or plans to do so, with the neighbors of these enclaves the choice of investments;

if progress has been made in the nomination of some of these works and the deadline for the completion of the projects.

Finally, the cartageneristas will require improvements in access roads to Los Jarales and in the stretch between the area of ​​Casa del Pino to Los Molinos, assuming its maintenance and patch either the own Neighborhood Board or by incorporating some 'lot' in conservation and patching with own or municipal resources and other meetings.
