The Regional Coordinator of United Left - Greens of the Region of Murcia (IUVRM), meeting this Saturday, May 26, approved the calendar of election of candidates and candidates for the regional and municipal elections next year and the corresponding primaries where there is more from a list.
In Izquierda Unida-Verdes Cartagena, the candidates will collect guarantees between June 1 and June 11 and, in the case of more than one list, there will be a campaign until the end of June.
The voting, which will be both face-to-face and telematic, will conclude on July 1.
Militants and sympathizers will vote with a proportional and preferential system of open lists, in which the bases will be able to order the candidates and candidates to their liking.
The results will respect the criteria of gender parity and inclusion of young people who mark the statutes of the coalition led by Alberto Garzón.
"Izquierda Unida - Greens in Cartagena ratifies its commitment to the democratic processes of selection of candidates, either through consensus in our assemblies, or through primaries open to the participation of half a thousand militants and sympathizers with whom it counts every day. "With the holding of internal primaries, Izquierda Unida paves the way for the necessary confluence of all the forces of change in the port city and its neighborhoods, towns and districts," continues José León.

Izquierda Unida expects that, as at the federal level, agreements will be reached with Podemos, Equo and other rupturist organizations and agents both at a regional and local level, "he adds.
