The renowned Italian muralist Fabio Petani starts early tomorrow the creation of a huge mural with floral motifs throughout the west facade of the C classroom of the Alfonso XIII Campus of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, next to the School of Agronomists.
The artistic action, approved this Wednesday by the Governing Council of the UPCT, is part of the One Urban World section of the Emerging Art Festival MuchoMásMayo, organized by the City of Cartagena, which assumes all the expenses of the execution of the work.
Fabio Petani, who is characterized by the floral and vegetal motifs of his works, has made murals in many European cities.
"This intervention will improve the visibility of our facilities, by incorporating us into a list of large murals in Cartagena," says the vice-rector of Campus and Sustainability, Marcos Ros.
"The UPCT thus adds to the international trend of artistically decorating the large canvases that generate their buildings," he adds.
