Much + May is a bet of the Department of Culture, which this year has the slogan 'Interdependent, ecodependientes', and whose thread is environmental sustainability.
For this reason, on Saturday, May 26 will be an activity in the Plaza de Heroes de Cavite to claim an environment without plastics that contaminate it.
The activity will consist of an exchange of plastic bags and containers, canvas bags and festival badges.
The bags will be commemorative of World Environment Day and the badges will be from Mucho + Mayo.
Citizens will deliver plastic containers or bags, which will end up in a yellow container for recycling.
This initiative, which involves volunteers from the Implica2 program of the Department of Youth, is aimed at raising awareness among the public about the problems that the excessive and uncontrolled use that plastic is causing on the planet, both in the seas and on land .
To raise awareness about this problem, the United Nations has decided to dedicate this June 5, World Environment Day, to a world # SinContaminaciónPorPlasticos.
The festival Much More May has added to the initiative with diverse actions, between which is the one of this Saturday.
The point will be installed on Saturday, May 26, at the Plaza de Heroes de Cavite, next to the Statue of the Replacement Soldier.
The hours will be 12:00 and 14:00 in the morning and between 18:00 and 20:00 in the afternoon.
