The City of Cartagena, through the Department of Sports and in collaboration with the local media, has convened the XXXVI edition of the Annual Sports Awards Cartagena 2018, which aims to recognize the work of individuals and entities that, either their direct activity or personal initiative, or as participants in the development of sports policy, have contributed significantly to promote or disseminate sports physical activity in the municipality.

The established prizes cover several categories, as it is included in the bases of the call, and will be granted attending exclusively to the proposals that will be presented in writing and duplicated until June 1 in the register of the Department of Sports of the City Council of Cartagena, so that the candidatures must contain the formal proposal and a summary of the motivations referred to the merits contracted in the year 2017.

The jury is composed of the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón;

the mayor of Deportes, Obdulia Gómez;

the coordinator of Sports Activities of the City Council, two technicians of the Department of Sports, the person in charge of Sport in School Age, the person in charge of the Government Area of ​​Culture and Sports, a representative member of each Means of Communication with address in Cartagena and the secretary of the Department of Sports, with voice and without vote.

Once the jury evaluates and selects the proposals, it will vote for the best ones, so that the awards will be handed out in an act that will be organized by the Sports Department, whose date will be determined later.
