The Councilor for Municipal Services, Juan Pedro Torralba, presented on Tuesday, May 22, together with the technicians of that area, the projects of the 2018 edition of the Participatory Budgets that will be built in the neighborhoods of Santa Lucía, Lo Campano , The Mateos, Mediterranean Urbanization and New Cartagena.
For this, the municipal technicians presented to the neighbors a 3D demo with the final result of the projects, which have the peculiarity of having been specially designed for the space they occupy in each of the neighborhoods.
In this way, each space revolves around a different theme and received very good reception from the neighborhood representatives who attended the presentation.
The park of San Isidoro de Lo Campano is set up in two areas, one of which will be a children's area and another area for play with a basket.
In the squares of La Marina and Nueva de Santa Lucía, the integral remodeling of the space is proposed, for which the existing furniture will be dismantled, repairing and replacing some of the games and installing new ones that guarantee the inclusion of all children.
In the Plaza de la Constitución, also in Santa Lucía, a continuous photoluminescent pavement will be installed, as well as the remodeling of the fountain, highlighting the importance of meeting place for watermakers of the time through a central sculpture.
As for the Plaza de la Estrella, it will include a ceramic mural in which you can read "I love you" in all languages.
As for the Mediterranean Urbanization, it is essential to provide it with infrastructures to make it an accessible, open and safe use space for users.
A central children's area has been projected, fulfilling the parameters initially proposed in terms of accessibility and safety.
In addition, the paving of the square is renewed, with walls of separation between spaces to solve the existing level differences.
The reform of the Juan Carlos I park in La Nueva Cartagena will result in a children's area that will revolve around Pocoyo.
During the afternoon of today, May 23, Juan Pedro Torralba will present the projects in El Bohío and El Algar.
