The Association of Historical Memory of Cartagena, with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, has organized for this Thursday May 24, a tribute to the poet and writer Antonio Oliver, in the year that marks half a century of his death.
The act, included in the program "Read, think, imagine" and with the collaboration also of Cartagena Piensa, is held in the Assembly Hall of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, at 8:00 pm.
Pepi Amate, Diego Sánchez Espejo, Lucía Soler Alburquerque, Josefina Pérez García, Mª Dolores Vieites López, Paz Sáez de Jódar, Carlos Alberto Alcaraz García, Juan de Dios García, Daniel Sánchez Espejo and José Miguel Sánchez Espejo will collaborate in the recital. the music composed by Jordi Margarit.
The poems, musicados or recitados, have been chosen between most significant of the poetic trajectory of Antonio Oliver, eminent Cartagena poet who founded the Popular University, prestigious institution that irradiated during many years the culture to Cartagena and Cartagena of any class and condition;
engine of the Pedagogical Missions, enthusiastic collaborator of the School Colonies, defender of the Republic, repressed by the Franco regime and protagonist of the internal exile.
