The Subjective Room Nicomedes Gómez adheres to the thematic axis of the festival Much More May with its next exhibition.
On this occasion he exhibits the work of Antonio Hervás, Totems: Eco-Logía-Plástica, in which the artist renews the expressive and visual languages ​​through mixed techniques using recycling material on Kite boards to seek reflection on the impact of the be human on the planet and move towards ecological awareness for the respect of the environment.
Hervás is a versatile and multidisciplinary Murcian artist, with a degree in Illustration and Photography at the School of Art of Murcia, specialist in Urban Art and Graffiti Art.
The exhibition, which opens on Thursday, May 24 at 8:30 pm, can be visited at the Consitutional Palace until July 2, coinciding fully with the edition of this year's festival.
The visiting hours are from Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 13.30 / 17.00 to 19.00, Saturdays from 10.00 to 13.30 / 17.00 to 20.00 and Sundays from 10.00 to 13, 30
The Much More May Emerging Art Festival, organized by the Department of Culture, celebrates its 9th edition this year from May 25 to June 5.
Under the slogan "Interdependent, eco-dependent" the festival is working to be the first reference ecofestival in the region, its main theme being sustainability.
This year's edition features up to 127 activities from all the creative registers, from music or muralism to the performing arts - theater, dance, circus - or the plastic arts.
In addition, it covers disciplines such as literature, performance, cinema, short films, long films, experimental cinema, street installations and video projections.
Following this thematic axis the Youth Council collaborates with the Exhibition of the Nicomedes Gómez Subjective Room as another activity in the line of sustainability and tool for environmental awareness of the festival.
To end the cultural program and coinciding with World Environment Day, on June 5, the festival has organized a series of live artistic interventions under the motto # SinContaminaciónporPlásticos, in which Antonio Hervás participates, and which are aimed at mobilize citizen awareness about this serious problem.
