The deputy secretary general of the PSRM-PSOE and parliamentary spokesman Joaquín López Pagán has demanded today the removal (or cessation) of Eduardo Zaplana as a member of the Social Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).

In his opinion, the arrest of the former minister of the time of Aznar, for an alleged tax and money laundering offense, "disqualifies him, as long as his judicial situation is clarified, to represent an honorable institution such as the Polytechnic University. "The corruption of the Popular Party has deep roots and very large tentacles and this is another episode that splashes us directly.

For this reason, and in the interests of transparency and to preserve the image of the institution, we demand that Eduardo Zaplana immediately leave the Social Council of the UPCT. "

Zaplana is a member of the Social Council of the UPCT, having been appointed by the CARM Government Council since November 2016.
