The Auditorium and Conference Center El Batel will be the stage on June 3 of the Solidarity Congress of Empowerment, Recognition and Valuation of Women, in which 8 lectures and 9 microponencias Tips VEP will be held in order to provide tools for empowerment female.
The presentation was carried out this Monday, May 21 by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Catejón;
who has been accompanied by the organizers of the congress, the mentor, holistic therapist and facilitator of Bioconscience, Estrella Piqueras;
and the Life Coach, motivating writer and founding president of the NGO Pequeños Corazones, Roberto Montes.
The councilor has indicated that, although there has been much talk of empowerment lately, it is still a pending issue for women to become aware of their individual and collective power, while at the same time highlighting the need to continue betting on women's leadership.
Also, the mayor has emphasized the solidarity of the congress, since the funds will go to the projects of the NGO Small Hearts of Cartagena.
One of the projects for which funds will be allocated is the Children's Bank of Cartagena, which aims to help victims of direct or indirect mistreatment, mothers in need who, because of gender violence, can not cope with their life in the economic sphere. and to supply families in need with integration problems and without resources.
On the other hand, the Mbyá Project in Paraguay will also be helped, since the Mbyá is a tribe that is being the victim of deforestation and the expulsion of their natural habitat, with the consequent problem of feeding, schooling and survival.
The Small Hearts Association of Cartagena will also support the Fuente de Vida Project in Mozambique, where water wells will be built in different villages to facilitate sanitary, nutritional and educational tasks.
At a global level, the Solidarity Books Project will be promoted, thanks to which books related to personal growth and conscious life will be published and sold.
Some of the specific objectives of the congress are to promote the value of self-care, improve self-esteem and recognition;
grow in self-love;
boost the gifts and talents of women;
help achieve the balance between male and female energy;
and build a more full, conscious and positive way of life, among others.
