The delegate councilor of the Area of ​​Quality of Life and Welfare, Obdulia Gómez, and municipal technicians, held a working meeting with Miguel Buendía, manager of Campoder to analyze the first selective process of the call for aid Leader of measure 19.2 of the Program of Rural Development of the Region of Murcia 2014-2020, aimed at projects not programmed in the Participatory Local Development Strategy "Territorio Campoder: growing together".
This call has a total financing of more than 2.8 million euros.
Cartagena has submitted a total of twelve projects to the first selective process that ended on January 15.
Between productive and non-productive projects, the municipality of Cartagena has offered 19% of the projects presented within the framework of the entire Campoder territory.
The purpose of the call is to launch a process of granting aid to projects promoted by micro-businesses (including self-employed) and non-profit public or private entities that intend to carry out a project that contributes to the development of Campoder's territorial scope .
This territory is integrated by the municipal terms of Fuente Álamo and Puerto Lumbreras, as well as part of the municipalities of Águilas, Cartagena, Lorca, Mazarrón, Murcia and Totana and a population, potentially addressee, of 110,000 inhabitants.
The projects that can be financed should have as objectives: training, job creation or cooperation;
the improvement of competitiveness and sustainability of the microenterprises that operate or want to operate in the territory;
the protection, conservation and awareness of the environmental heritage;
the protection of rural heritage and the promotion of the territory;
the promotion of rural tourism or the improvement of services and infrastructures in districts or rural councils.
The projects will be selected through a competitive concurrency procedure.
There will be a second selective process that will end on December 20, 2018.

The aid is co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (63%) and the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (37%).
