The Municipal Group MC Cartagena, through its councilor and responsible for Sports, Ricardo Segado, will present at the next Plenary Session of the City Council an initiative to begin processing the record of honors and distinctions in order that the door 1-21 of the municipal stadium Cartagonova is denominated like 'Jabato Sagarduy'.
In this way, the cartagenerista formation continues betting to recognize the figure of outstanding members of the history of the Cartagena soccer, as it already did with the ill-fated Miki Roqué, to which door 2-22 was dedicated.
Such is the case of Alejandro Sagarduy, known by all as 'Jabato'.
Although born in Erandio, he is considered an adoption Cartagena, since here he has developed his professional and personal life.
As a Cartagena player, with whom he debuted with 21 years, he played twelve seasons in which he defended the Albinegros colors in almost four hundred matches.
He lived one of the most golden times of local football, competing for six consecutive seasons in the Second Division.
